Food and nutrition is essential to live a healthy life as the food you eat directly influences how much fat your body stores as body weight, organ health, strength, and your overall health.

You should be eating mostly whole, unprocessed foods. An easy way to tell if a food is whole is to see if it has a package. Foods like fruit, or vegetables and fresh produce counts as whole food.

Eat For Health, recommends eating mostly vegetables and whole grain foods, while also eating a mix of fruits, lean meats and dairy products. You should avoid eating overly processed food such as salami or potato chips.

You should also avoid eating overly fatty, salty, or sweet foods, as these nutrients are unhealthy in large amounts. You can find out what is in your food by looking at the label on the back with a list of all the nutrients.

You should look for the amount of kJ (kilojoules), to work out the

amount of energy in it, and you can then compare that to your TDEE. You should also look for the macronutrients - fat, carbohydrates, and protein.

Unsaturated fats are good for you, but saturated and trans fats are not good for you in large amounts, so keep an eye on that when choosing food.
